Tips

As a 29 year old Californian, I have seen many changes occur in our state. Since 1990, our state’s population has had an 11.2% increase. In 1998 California received 161,570,734 ($1000) in federal funds and grants and 31% of our state’s population is of Hispanic origin. At the same time, San Diego County has grown by 12.9%. All this information points to a necessity for diligence on the part of all state employees and citizens. As a Student Intern I will do my part to help the City Attorney defend Escondido from unscrupulous organizations and people. My ongoing involvement as a Student Intern with the San Luis Obispo Office of the District Attorney has allowed me to become a better employee, student, citizen, and person. I have gained real world experience in the area of county procedures, criminal law, penal codes, and court procedures. As a veteran I have an appreciation for our country and national interests. During my demanding 3 year enlistment, I learned to contribute more than the bare minimum and never quit. As a college student I have learned how to do research and present findings. As a Student Intern I intend to bring my experience and education to you and my fellows.
